
Battery pack shall not be handled using forklift. Use designated lifting points only. Enclosure is not a structural component. Do not place any external load on pack enclosure or BDU.

Do not step or climb on any part of the battery pack. Doing so will result in damage.
The user shall take due care to protect all battery pack components like high voltage connectors, coolant ports, and vents from impact during lifting and vehicle installation operations.
1. Remove crate. #

Do not discard crates or other shipping parts. Proper packaging is essential to safe storing and shipping of battery packs when not installed in the plant.
2. Remove M12 locknuts and washers from shipping feet to release pack and free from pallet. #

3. Install lifting eyes. #

Batteries with six mounting points on the cover can be lifted using only four mounts. If using four points, ensure that the corner mounts are used.

4. Install lifting chains or straps, ensuring a minimum 45° angle between chain and top surface. #

5. Lift the battery with shipping feet attached. #

6. Remove mounting bolts and washers to detach shipping feet from the battery. #

7. Install the battery in the plant. #
Hibernium® batteries can be installed in any orientation. Packs should be protected from vibrations in the range of 0 to 70Hz. It is required to use anti-vibration mounting pads.
Avoid installation with coolant ports facing down to prevent airlock occurring in the thermal management system.
Horizontal installation
Battery packs can be hung from the top mounts or bolted from the bottom. All mounting points provided on the same face (top or bottom) need to be used for securing the pack.
Vertical installation
When installing packs vertically, all mounting points on both sides need to be used.
