Hibernium® battery packs are delivered in a UN type approved crate, mounted to the pallet with custom shipping feet.
Package Contents #
Do not plug the Manual Service Disconnect fuse until battery pack installation is complete.
Battery packs with identification number ML12 (see Battery Pack Identification Number) are mounted using only two shipping feet, installed diagonally. Ensure proper re-installation before storing or handling battery pack. Failure to do so may result in battery pack damage.
Unpacking #
Battery pack shall not be handled using forklift. Use designated lifting points only. Enclosure is not a structural component. Do not place any external load on pack enclosure or BDU.
Do not step or climb on any part of the battery pack. Doing so will result in damage.
1. Remove packaging.
2. Remove the M12 locknuts and washers from the shipping feet to release the pack and feet from the pallet.
3. Install lifting eyes.
Batteries with six mounting points on the cover can be lifted using only four mounts. If using four points, ensure that the corner mounts are used.
