Can the cell manufacturer be defined for my projects? #
We guarantee our battery pack performance and remain cell manufacturer agnostic. You can select the type of battery pack specifications (Energy, Power, Lifetime, Standard) or lithium-ion chemistry (NMC, LFP, NCA), or you can leave it up to us to provide the best fit according to your requirements.
All our battery cell suppliers have been audited and passed our thorough quality approval process. Battery cells used in our battery packs have been rigorously tested, characterised and validated for quality and performance in our own laboratories.
You’ll benefit from improved economies of scale and purchasing volume with other customers of ours, while getting access to new industry improvements in energy and power density, with no additional investment. All backed by proven guaranteed performance.
What orientation can I mount Hibernium® packs in? #
Packs can be installed in any orientation, though we recommend avoiding installation with downward-facing coolant connectors to avoid creating an air lock risk within the battery.
Can I hang the battery off of the mounting points? #
Yes, and make sure to use all mounting points on the face you are planning to use, 4 or 6, depending on the pack configuration.
How many temperature sensors are in my pack? #
There are four (4) temperature sensors in each module. Multiply that by the number of modules in your pack (MQXX) to get the total quantity.
Can I simultaneously update software to multiple batteries connected in parallel? #
Programming is via a ‘UART’ interface, which is ‘point-to-point’ only. Each pack needs to be flashed individually. Parallel flashing is not possible.
What type of hose is normally used for the coolant piping? #
A 25mm ID PVC Nylon reinforced hose is typically used, as it normally has a bend radius of around 210mm, but can vary depending on the manufacturer.
Can a 90° fitting be used on the cooling ports? #
Yes, 90° fittings can be used on the cooling ports.
